The Metro PCS Dallas Marathon will take place on December 8, 2013. Sam's Squad will have runners in the relay race, half marathon and marathon. Other Sam's Squad members can volunteer at the race, cheer on the runners, or simply make a donation to the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation. Each Sam's Squad member is encouraged to raise money for the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation.

Relay Teams. A relay team consists of five members. Each member, depending on which leg of the race he or she runs or walks, will cover between 4.4 and 6.4 miles. So, gather your friends, start training, and form a team.

Half Marathon. Want to strive for more miles? Then run the half-marathon (13.1 miles) as a member of Sam’s Squad.

Marathon. For the die hard runner, the Dallas Marathon is a world-class race. And Sam's Squad will be proud to have you on our team.

Volunteer. If your legs are not up to the task, join Sam's Squad as a race volunteer or a cheerleader and enjoy the festivities from the sidelines. Click here to sign-up to volunteer.

Donate. Can't make it to the race or volunteer? You can still be a Sam's Squad superhero by donating to the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation.

Fundraising. Although the race wil be a blast, the more important task is to raise money for the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation. So, we ask each team and individual to make a donation to the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation, and to ask their friends and families to support them by donating to MDF too. You can click onto the "fundraising" button for a sample solicitation letter you can copy and paste into your email to send to your contacts.  

Prizes. We will have prizes for each marathoner, half marathoner and relay team who raises the most money.
